Prerequisites | Valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Cosmetology Operator License and High School Diploma or GED | ||||||||
Learning Outcomes |
(PSLO 1) Shows professional and ethical behavior. CSLO- Desribe the appropriate attire for a job interview that is measured by Unit Exam (PSLO #3) Demonstrates proficiency in all cosmetology skills. CSLO- Display managerial skills measured by rubric. |

Week 1 & 2 = Orientation to the program general rules, and sanitation laws Week 3= Profile of a Master Educator and practical on skills Week 4= Adult learning Theories/Lesson Planning/Student-Teacher relations and Management Week 5= Supervised Teaching skills and Theory Week 6= Development of daily skill lesson plans Week 7= Development of daily written lesson plans Week 8= Examinations and research paper due Week 9=-14 Review and complete all lesson plans for three levels of teaching skills Week 15= Review for finals (presentation of 3 lesson plans) Week 16= Final exams (practical and written) |
